There are two ways to manually mount your flash drive in Linux. The first way we'​ll describe should be used if you are going to rarely mount. You insert a USB drive but it is not auto-mounted for some reason. Sometimes this is needed when booted up to the installation media so log.

Usually just mount /dev/sdb1 (as root) should work - if not, look at the output of dmesg and see if there are any errors.
